All natural stone table tops, which includes Tumbled Marble, Polished Marble and Granite, are treated at the factory with an impregnating sealer that penetrates deep into the porous surface providing a long lasting barrier that locks out oils, water, stains and dirt. • Natural stone tops will fade in direct sunlight over time. This fading is a natural process and will be more noticeable on brightly colored stones and polished marble. Cleaning & Care:
For optimum protection, tops should be resealed every 6 to 12 months. It takes just a few minutes to distribute an even coat of the sealer and then wipe the tabletop dry. Airborne dust and dirt can easily be removed with plain water. For more thorough cleaning, use a pH neutral cleaner such as Simple Green, a water-based biodegradable cleaner available in most supermarkets. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners, which can break down the sealant. Spills should always be cleaned up reasonably quickly, since over time they may begin to penetrate the sealant.
